It all began in 1990…
Our craving began June 15, 1990, when Santa Monica was absent of organic restaurants. Strengthened by the desire to provide delicious and healthy meals to all, our partners founded the Newsroom Cafe, the area’s first all-organic eatery. Conscious of variety being the spice of life, our diverse, home-cooked menu was crafted to represent the most nourishing aspects of cultures through superfoods, while catering to every diet. This commitment to inclusion and nutrition extended to everyone, in the form of unlimited customization and all-day breakfasts. Since then, only our name and ownership have changed. At SuperFood Cafe, organic applies to both our food and worldview. We hand-select fresh ingredients to serve you a clean, organic experience. We also team with a bicycle delivery service to ensure your deliveries come at no expense to our ecosystem. Furthermore, we believe sustainability is more than the environment; it includes you. Preservation of our values and location has embedded us in the Santa Monica community. Our patrons are our family, and we are blessed to have fostered so many loyal customers since day one. We invite you to dine with us, and look forward to serving you!
